Includes instruction, tents and group equipment, breakfasts and dinners on the
mountain, and round trip ground transportation from Seattle. The course will be led by Mary Ingersoll, who was one of the ice climbing instructors
at the Chicks With Picks ice climbing seminar this past winter. This is a
basic skills course that covers ice axe and crampon skills, rope team
travel, ice axe self and team arrest, snow and ice anchors, pulley systems
and crevasse rescue, and culminates in an ascent of a glaciated peak in
the North Cascades.
