Caren Reich bouldering at Devil's Lake 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking - 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking providing women guides and assistants for women trekkers.

Women trekking guides is a new concept for Nepalese society. It has been a great challenge to bring women into this industry, since society doesn't condone women working as guides, but after a long struggle we have proven ourselves. Women can also work as a guide if the opportunity is provided to her. We have demonstrated that women are mentally, physically and emotionally as strong as men.  [more info]

Alpine Finishing School for Ladies - The Alpine Finishing School for Ladies

Extends a cordial invitation to all women with an inclination to the vertical world.

Please join us in the "Alps of North America", the North Cascades, for distinctly feminine adventures and camaraderie.

The objective of this fine organization is to expose women of all ages to the joys of the alpine world whilst instilling confidence and composure in all manner of climbing and mountain travel techniques. Group sizes are small to allow for ample individual instruction and attention. All programmes are instructed and guided by women. Private tutoring is also available with many spectactular possibilities for climbing and skiing outings by individual arrangement

The east slopes of the North Cascades are wonderfully situated in that they are accessible enough to allow for exceptional European style climbing and skiing during the day, with a return to the mountain hamlet of Mazama for civilized dining and lodging options in the evenings.

Please join us for one of our group instructional outings, or contact us regarding specific goals.

The Alpine Finishing School for Ladies was founded by Anne Keller, an accomplished Northwest climber and guide. She has been climbing for 15 years and has completed many ascents throughout the Cascades as well as four expeditions to the Alaska range. Anne has been guiding for six years and has been employed by two of the most well respected guide schools in the United States; Rainier Mountaineering Incorporated and Exum Mountain Guides. During this time Anne worked her way up to senior guide on Rainier with forty successful ascents. Anne is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association and has completed both the advanced alpine guides course and the ski guides course. She is an EMT and holds a Canadian level one certification in avalanche forecasting. She worked for five years as a professional ski patroller and is currently employed in the winter as a heli ski guide with North Cascades Heli Skiing. Anne also has formal training in physical therapy and is fortunate to work with the world class staff at Winthrop Physical Therapy.

North Cascades Mountain Guides - Our Mission is to provide high quality, low ratio guided trips and instruction at affordable rates. We feel that our commitment to low ratio trips is what sets us apart from many other companies. Climbing as a small group not only increases your margin of safety, but ensures all participants individual attention and the highest quality experience possible. Depending on the climb, we will limit the total number of climber to guides to maintain an effective ratio. This may be as many as 4 climbers to one guide for a toprope climbing session, while more difficult alpine ascents will only allow 1 climber per guide. Our ratios are often 1/2 of what other companies allow. Once people have experienced the difference very few will ever return to high ratio guiding.

We offer courses and private guiding trips in rock climbing, alpine climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, and backcountry skiing. Our main emphasis is on safety, fun, and learning. We forge unforgettable experiences adventuring into the challenge and grandeur of the "American Alps" and beyond.

All our guides are experienced, professional instructors. We can customize any trip to meet your goals and create a memorable outdoor adventure, regardless of ability. Whether you choose a day of instruction at the crags, a backcountry ski excursion, an alpine rock climb on a granite spire, or a myriad of other possibilities, our courses and trips are aimed at providing you with experiences that will increase your knowledge and enthusiasm in mountain exploration and adventure.  [more info]
